Emotional farewell to Chadwick Boseman from the sports world

Basketball, athletes, car drivers, tennis and soccer superstars around the world paid tribute to the actor from the Marvel movie, Black Panther. Some of them via social media and others, performing the classical Wakanda celebration. Check the video below for more!

  • With the hashtag #WakandaForever and #Blackpanther several stars paid emotional tribute to the star.
  • He was appreciated and admired specially in the African-American community for his service and activism. 

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, from the African country of Gabon and an Arsenal player was known for his love to Black Panther after last year celebrating with a mask.

Today, he paid tribute again to his idol and star. 

Lewis Hamilton, the British Formula 1 champion racer also made an emotional post and the Black Panther gesture emphasizing the importance of the actor's legacy to future generations and his incredible inspiration to the black community.

Several NBA players from the "Bubble" in Orlando expressed their condolences as well as American football players like Michael Thomas, who posted a photo of Boseman with Lakers star Kobe Bryant and stated "2020 has been wild". 

Several baseball teams like Los Angeles Dodgers remembered his role as ‘Jackie Robinson’, the first African American baseball player.

In tennis, Serena Williams posted an emotional picture on Instagram and received thousands of likes. 

The French Tennis player, Gael Monfils, was also known for crossing his arms as a support during the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, California in 2018.
