Mary Trump is a licensed clinical psychologist and author and openly against her uncle. She said that if she were in the Oval Office with Trump she would ask him to resign. Take a look at her interview with ABC's George Stephanopoulos below.
A campaign to stop Mary Trump's book publication was set forth, however on Monday the New York State Supreme Court lifted the temporary restraining order on the book and allowed the author to promote her book.
The book is based on Mary's memory, things family members have told her about her uncle Donald Trump and on documentation like tax returns and bank statements. Mary says her uncle is an ignorant and stands by a statement in her book that says Donald Trump paid someone to take the SAT's for him in order to get into college. The White House obviously denies this.
The author also says the president grew up in a toxic environment and that she sees a parallel between the way her uncle was brought and his family dynamic with the way the country is being governed. "If I can do anything to change the narrative and to tell the truth, I need to do it. Because I don't believe the American people had the entire truth four years ago" said Mary. Her cousin and president Trump's son, Eric referred to Mary as the black sheep of the family in a recent tweet.
