Cardi B receives backlash for controversial opinion about Valentine’s Day!

The ‘Up’ rapper tweeted her take on Valentine’s Day and her fans were not happy! The 28-year-old star thinks that men should get cheaper gifts as compared to their female partners. Her statement generated a Twitter fan fury as everyone had different opinions about the matter. Did Cardi reach a common ground with her fans? Read below to find out!

This statement grabbed the attention of many Twitter users, and it went viral within an hour of posting! In her opinion, men deserve gifts that are not costly as compared to the gifts of their female spouses.

Cardi’s male fans voiced their disappointment on Twitter. They pointed out that the ‘Up’ sensation bought an expensive Lamborghini costing $600K for her husband Offset, so why shouldn’t anyone else do the same?

I believe both partners should spend equally when it comes to buying gifts for each other. Do you agree?

On February 13th, 2021, Cardi responded to the backlash stating that she and Offset were ‘even in gifts’. This means that the couple spends equally on each other. The ‘Bodak Yellow’ star pointed out that he got her rings costing $500K and Hermes Birkin bags too.

 Everyone is entitled to their opinion, even Cardi. Though I don’t agree with her statement, I wouldn’t go out of my way to bash her with hateful comments online. It’s important to realize that gifts should be appreciated because people give them with love.
