The queen is back with another banger, and as always, she is serving top quality content. We were desperately waiting for another song by her and we couldn’t be more excited now that it is finally here!

Cardi with husband Offset

First of all, let’s talk about the ‘RIP 2020’ on the stone of the grave at the beginning of the music video because it is a total mood. I’m sure we can all relate to that because what kind of year was 2020 even? We’d rather pretend it didn’t exist at all because that’s how bad it sucked. We wonder if the gravestone had anything to do with her rocky relationship with her husband? Click here to find out more about it.

Now moving on to the song and music video, we have to say that we absolutely love it. I mean, just look at the visuals, the beat? They’re all stuck in our heads! Also, trust Cardi to come up with the catchiest and most amusing lyrics.

Cardi B's  Acceptance Speech for Best New Artist at the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards

On her Youtube live before the release of the music video, Cardi said:

“I wanted to do something really different,"

and that

“It took me more than a month…we started rehearsing in December for this moment…The grind don't stop."

This time around she wanted to try something different because:

“wanted a more hood song. I thought that my last song was more sexy…I wanted to do something more gangster, more cocky.”

Wow, look at her versatility as a musician!

A couple of days before the release of the song, Cardi came on to Twitter to share her feelings and show her fans that she’s grateful for them. Isn’t she so humble

This goes to show how behind all the glamour and success is a woman as human and vulnerable as any of us. We think Cardi is an inspiring songwriter and we all could really learn a thing or two from this full of sass and class woman. More power to you, Cardi! Unfortunately she is already facing plagiarism accusations against it, click here to read  more about it.

What do you think of Cardi’s new song? Click on the video below to check it out because you definitely won't be disappointed!
