  • The State of Florida broke the United States record of new infections in one day with 15.299 cases.
  • Nurses have been called from all over the country to help in Miami's largest public hospital, the Jackson Memorial.
  • Hospitals are reaching a 95% occupation and infections keep rising.

Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Giménez held a public meeting to report and analyze the situation in his county.

The authorities have been criticized harshly after opening the Walt Disney theme park as well as bars and restaurants. As they start to close shops again, business owners are protesting because they can't sustain this situation on a long run.

Despite all the problems, the beaches were still crowded without people respecting social distancing.

Doctor Lilian Abbo is a specialist of the University of Miami Health System and stated that what they saw 6 months ago in Wuhan, China, is happening now in Miami, Florida. The main concern is the lack of health professionals that cannot be taught in short time and with every hospital full, they are reaching out to other cities for help.
