On November 20th, the K-pop group released their fifth studio album, BE. It is an eight-track album including their hit disco-pop track ‘Dynamite’. Want to know more about it and BTS’ No.1 debut? Keep on reading!
The pandemic has given birth to lots of great music, 'BE' is one of them. It is the current situation that inspired BTS to put out this album. 'BE' is proof of BTS’ sincerest feelings. The lyrics contain their fears and anxious thoughts but also their will to get through whatever life throws at them.
‘Life Goes On’, the title track, is a reassuring song about how one day everything will be okay as if nothing bad ever happened. BTS said they released this album to heal their fans during this difficult time. Listening to it does feel like a warm hug.
The most ‘BTS-Esque’ album yet
All seven members of BTS actively participated in making the album. From songwriting, producing, designing the album cover, to directing the music video!
It is also a very personal album to them. They even uploaded the documented process on YouTube. If you want to watch that then head to the playlist ‘Log (ON)’ on their YouTube channel, BANGTAN TV!
BTS continues to dominate the charts
This debut makes it the group’s fifth No. 1 album on the Billboard 200. BE has sold 177,000 pure albums, which is impressive for a $50 album during a pandemic. Besides that, it has received more than 48 million listens on Apple Music and Spotify.
This feat also makes them the only group to have two No.1 albums in 2020, ‘Map of the Soul: 7’ being the first one. We love ‘BE’ and if you haven’t listened to it yet, then what are you waiting for?! Let us know what you think about BTS’ latest achievement in the comments below!
