After the Coronavirus outbreak in China, the country has finally made eating wild animals illegal. Will they be able to control this measure?
- It's been strictly banned to consume or farm wild animals. However, this practice is deeply rooted in Chinese tradition. Wild animals are used not only as food but in medicine, ornaments and even as pets.
- It's not the first time China has tried to ban wild animal trade. In 2003, they banned civets and snakes for believing they transmitted the SARS virus, however, you can still find these dishes in parts of China.
